WHAT IS RoHS ?

The RoHS is a EU-Directive which is transposed into European national law and takes effect on July 1, 2006. It contributes to the health protection and to the environmentally sound recovery and disposal of waste electric and electronic equipment.  It's aim is to regulate the restriction of the use of hazardous substances such as hexavalent chromium which gives the yellow color to the zinc platting on DIN rail. 

HOW DOES RoHS EFFECT MY BUSINESS ?

It doesn't ........unless the product you manufacture is or may be exported to Europe.  It has no effect on the US market.  Almost all the DIN rail sold in the USA comes from European steel mills.  It would be fare to say that by 7/01/06, most of the DIN rail sold in the USA will be RoHS compatible.  All ATMCO DIN rail is manufactured to DIN EN60715 specifications and is stamped RoHS certified.
